The other day

The other day someone asked me a question I found difficult to answer. The question was which is your favourite country? I guess the reason I struggled was due to the fact that I have never thought of the places I have visited in terms of best or worse. I have found most countries are just like people in that they all have a story to tell. Greece for instance tells a story of families, history and tradition, whilst Kenya tells a story of the power of nature in all its forms. France so they say tells the story of love and passion, yet the story I heard was of green wide-open spaces and people allowing you to be just who you wanted to be. Germany tells stories of forests and the mighty Rhine and Luxemburg entertains you in the many street café’s. Sweden and Finland tell stories of vast white open spaces and blood red sunsets. China attacks your senses in every way possible. And my country? Well its home and it’s where I belong.
