In a previous story I told you just how _____ I love running. Well recently something happened that _______ changed my mind and took away _____ love. I won’t beat about the bush I’ll just tell you _____ happened.  I tripped and fell. Ok itdoesn’t _____ serious but in fact I broke my _____ and my little _______.


It all happened very ________ and all I can really remember is my _____ hitting the hard tarmac road. As _____ as I regained my senses I ______ up it was then I noticed that my t-shirt was ________ in blood. I looked to see if I ______ see where the blood was coming _____ but I couldn’t. So I _______ my hand to see if I could feel where the ______ was coming from.  It was then that I noticed my finger was _________ out sideways. It might surprise you to know that at this ______ I wasn’t in any pain. Anyway _____ to the story. I quickly realised that I _______ some help so I turned ______ to face the traffic to see if I could flag ________ down.


The first ____ I tried to stop, actually, and to my total disgust and surprise, drove _______ me. Several other cars also drove by but eventually a very _____ lady stopped and asked if she could _____. She looked at my injuries and said you _____ go the hospital and she took me even _______ I was dripping blood everywhere.


A doctor ________ me out at the hospital and I was told that in the fall I had _______ and dislocated my finger and _____ I had also broken ___ nose. They x-rayed my nose and I was ______ two injections in my finger to numb it so that the ______ could put my finger _____ into its joint. The nurse cleaned up all my _____ and bruises and then I was sent _____. I had to wait 10 days for the swelling to go _____ on my nose and then I returned to the _________ to see what was they was going to do _____. They told me that I would need to have an __________ to straighten my nose and a few days ______ I had the operation. After six days they took the plaster-of-paris off my nose and I was very ________ to see that my nose was straight ______. I still need to have further treatment for my finger as it is still causing me some _________. But all in all the hospital looked after me _____ well.  


The reason I’m telling you this ______ is not because I’m feeling sorry for _______ or that I’m after some sympathy, after all we all have __________ and mostly we get over them. In fact I’m ________ you this story because I feel I need to tell someone ____ my accident has ________ my outlook on life.


I simply can’t come to terms with so many _______ just driving by me when I was so obviously in _____ of help. I was brought up to _______ help people when they are in ________ and so have many of my friends. So what has _________? When did things change for the ______? Why is that people do not seem to worry ______, or get involved, in anything ______ days? I was lucky this time as someone with a _____ and decent ______ stopped. I can’t help wondering what will _______ if I have an accident again. Will I meet a kind-hearted _______ or will they all stay at home that ____?
