Village or Duck ponds are in my opinion about as English as England gets. They are up there with cream teas and strawberry jam. This pond has Weeping Willows on its banks and Water Lilies floating on the surface of the water just waiting to bloom. For me ponds bring back fond memories of Frogspawn, Tadpoles, Newts and fishing for Sticklebacks.
